Paid tickets: how the money works
Guests pay by card when they book, on a secure Stripe page. The money goes straight to your account, never through Entry.to.
- Your own Stripe or SumUp: Entry.to takes nothing. You pay only your provider's card fee.
- Super Basic payments, if you do not have Stripe: 5% + 20p per booking on Pro, 1.5% + 20p on Pro+. Stripe's own card fee is included in that, not added on top.
Questions
- What counts towards my events a month?
- An event counts once, in the month you first publish it. Drafts do not count, and taking an event down and putting it back up does not count again.
- What counts as a guest?
- Each place booked. A booking for a family of four is four guests. Cancelled places are handed back.
- Does Entry.to take a cut of ticket sales?
- No. Paid tickets are part of Pro, which is a flat £20 a year. Card payments go through Payup.to, the Super Basic payments app, straight into your own Stripe account. Stripe's own card fee still applies.
- Does Entry.to hold my ticket money?
- No. The money goes directly to the Stripe account you connect in Payup.to. Entry.to only keeps the record of who has paid.
- Do my guests need an account?
- No. They give a name and an email address, and get a ticket by email. They can cancel from that ticket if they can no longer come.
- What happens to my events if I stop paying?
- Nothing is deleted. You keep every event and guest list. You go back to the Free limits, and paid tickets stop selling until the plan returns.
